Les Verdets is only 4 minutes walk from the nursery slopes and the village centre; this is the main meeting point for all ski schools. From here you will be whisked to all the main ski areas in minutes by one of the lifts. The position of Les Verdets is perfect as it is also located on a particularly peaceful road. Very good skiers can ski back via the Bellevarde Mountain through the trees, for lower level skiers you can walk back along an easy walkway.
In winter or summer it is ideal. In winter, ensure you take out the ‘Winter Package’ at the airport car hire point as this will include snow chains which are a legal requirement if there is heavy snow.
In summertime your car will always be useful as you can venture further afield. From Geneva, hire your car on the Swiss side of the airport; because it is easier to get to France from that section of the airport, also you automatically get a tax sticker on the car to allow you on the fast access Swiss motorways to France.
Yes. You can take a bus to Val d’Isère. You exit Geneva airport and jump on the bus opposite customs, it is easy! The bus arrives no more than 400m from Les Verdets apartments.

There is always plenty to do for non skiers; great shopping, swimming, fitness gyms, walking routes and more. The tourist office has a weekly programme of events to entertain the whole family.
Excellent! Visitors used to the snow capped mountains of winter will be in for a surprise. The cols open up allowing you wonderful access to some of the most majestic places on earth. The walking is out of this world, the wildlife, flora and fauna. It can be very hot at certain times of the day yet cool in the evening due to the altitude of 1850m.
Having twin girls made us careful to choose a child friendly resort and apartment. All children really will have fun in Val d’Isère and crèches or nannies can easily be arranged.
